Principal Process Engineer

What you will do

• Lead process engineering teams and coordinate with process licensors to advance basic engineering packages to FEED quality.
• Execute licensor packages for downstream steam cracker derivatives and aromatics units.
• Create process simulations, heat and material balances, and process flow diagrams.
• Coordinate with high-value engineering centers and lead or support P&ID development, hydraulics calculations, and process vessel sizing.
• Perform overpressure analysis and relief calculations, including flare load estimation and flare header sizing.
• Produce process design basis documents and narratives while managing workgroup schedules, budgets, and progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering required; a master’s degree in chemical engineering is preferred.
• Minimum of eight years of relevant experience; typical experience is 10 to 20 years.
• Knowledge of Aspen software suites.
• Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate leadership when managing project areas or systems.
