Salary: $120,000–$180,000 annually

What you will do

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Survey Mapping Team.
  • Lead survey research, boundary analysis, calculations, exhibits, and legal descriptions for land development and public works projects.
  • Prepare or oversee final maps, parcel maps, records of survey, ALTA maps, legal descriptions, and associated plats.
  • Coordinate technical surveying and engineering activities with project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with the Field Chief, conduct client meetings, and perform quality control reviews and audits.
  • Develop new client leads and opportunities and prepare proposals for the survey department.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of survey-related experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Professional Land Surveyor license in California preferred, or ability to obtain it within one year.
  • Experience with boundary analysis, ALTA and topographic survey computations, survey plan quality control, record plats, legal descriptions, and title commitments.
  • Strong project management, operational management, communication, organization, multitasking, and issue-resolution skills.
  • Ability to build client relationships and provide guidance and mentoring to survey staff.
