Professional Surveyor

What you will do

• Assist with managing the survey department, including staff, equipment, workload, and technical direction.
• Develop proposals and estimates for land surveying, topographic surveying, and construction staking projects.
• Manage surveying projects, budgets, timelines, regulatory compliance, and client communication.
• Perform fieldwork, including topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and construction staking.
• Prepare and review boundary and topographic surveys, ALTA/ACSM surveys, subdivision plans, and easement exhibits.
• Create legal descriptions, maintain quality control, and guide the use of current and emerging surveying technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, or an equivalent field.
• Professional Surveyor registration in the State of Michigan.
• 6–8 years of experience preferred.
• Hands-on leadership and strong project management experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Commitment to the success of clients and the surveying team.
