Commercial Counsel/Senior Business Officer (Cloud/AI)

Location: Hybrid role in Waltham, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $171,000–$262,800 annually, plus potential annual bonus or commission and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the framing of customized cloud transactions and negotiation strategies.
• Partner with sales, finance, product groups, and senior management to develop customer proposals and deal strategies.
• Act as the lead negotiator with client procurement, legal, and business executives.
• Review and draft cloud, software license, and services agreements using clear, concise language.
• Drive complex enterprise transactions from pricing and structuring through negotiation and closing.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience drafting and negotiating large enterprise cloud and technology agreements and complex transactions.
• Experience with deal structuring, pricing, contract drafting, business and contractual negotiations, and revenue recognition analysis.
• Strong customer-facing experience and the ability to make timely decisions balancing velocity, risk, and value.
• Understanding of cloud and AI technologies and applicable revenue recognition principles.
• Bachelor’s degree plus a JD and/or MBA preferred.
• Experience interacting with senior management on strategic decisions.
