TL;DR
Manufacturing Trainer II (LEAN): Developing and delivering manufacturing training programs while supporting process improvement, safety, quality, and employee capability with an accent on LEAN methodologies, Kaizen, 5S, compliance training, and value stream mapping. Focus on facilitating waste-reduction initiatives, improving manufacturing processes and technology, tracking training outcomes, and supporting audits and new product launches.

Location: Greenville, North Carolina, United States; onsite at the manufacturing plant

What you will do

  • Develop and deliver training materials aligned with manufacturing processes and LEAN methodologies.
  • Coordinate training programs covering quality, HYPull, Kanban, AS400, safety, new-hire orientation, shop-floor essentials, contractor training, forklift certification, and high-voltage certification.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, waste-reduction initiatives, 5S and safety practices, and continuous-improvement activities.
  • Support value stream mapping and recommend process and technology improvements that improve cost, safety, capacity, and operational flow.
  • Track, document, and report training completion and outcomes, while supporting internal and external audits.
  • Partner with business leaders, stakeholders, and external training providers to improve learning effectiveness and employee capability.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or technical degree preferred, or 7–10 years of manufacturing operations experience.
  • At least 2 years of training or learning and development experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of training principles, adult learning, facilitation, manufacturing processes, technical systems, and product knowledge.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, mechanical aptitude, and technical understanding.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, time-management, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
