Project Engineer - Electrical (Spacecraft Hardware)

hirify.global develops spacecraft and communications hardware, with the Product Realization Team responsible for qualified, integration-ready, and repeatable producible flight hardware.

What you will do

• Own the realization and delivery of assigned spacecraft hardware products from definition through qualification and production.
• Lead an Integrated Product Team across product development, build, integration, verification, and delivery.
• Manage product scope, schedule, cost, risk, dependencies, and completion status, driving recovery actions when needed.
• Coordinate engineering teams, suppliers, builds, verification activities, interfaces, and technical decisions.
• Lead development milestones and readiness reviews while communicating status, risks, challenges, and recovery plans.
• Improve hardware development, configuration management, quality, verification, and delivery processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
• At least 4 years of experience in hardware development, project engineering, technical leadership, or a related engineering role.
• Experience developing and delivering complex hardware through multiple product lifecycle stages.
• Technical depth in at least one hardware discipline and the ability to assess designs and engineering evidence independently.
• Understanding of hardware architecture, development, manufacturing, integration, verification, qualification, and testing.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage schedules, priorities, dependencies, risks, and complex technical work.

Nice to have

• Electrical or electronics engineering background.
• Experience with RF, radio, communications, or antenna hardware.
• Experience developing spacecraft, aerospace, or other mission-critical hardware.
• Experience managing external suppliers and transitioning hardware into repeatable production.
