Senior Network Engineer II (AWS)

Location: Hybrid; work up to 4 days per week in offices in New York City, St. Louis, or Pittsburgh, United States. Comfortable working in the Eastern Time Zone and able to travel up to 10% to office sites.

What you will do

• Manage, monitor, and maintain Meraki switches and wireless access points, Palo Alto firewalls and VPNs, AWS VPC, and AWS Transit Gateway.
• Design and troubleshoot networks supporting AWS, Kubernetes, microservices, and container-based environments.
• Promote secure, compliant, redundant, highly available, and automated network implementations.
• Configure, harden, patch, and document network devices and services according to security best practices.
• Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and act as the escalation point for network issues.
• Mentor service desk technicians, support systems engineering with Windows and Linux administration, and participate in on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing on-premises and cloud network environments.
• Experience with network design and troubleshooting in cloud-based microservices environments using AWS and Kubernetes.
• Expert knowledge of IPSec, VPN, DNS, SNMP, OSPF, BGP, AWS VPC, security groups, peering, and routing.
• Deep understanding of cloud and virtualization technologies and their impact on network performance and design.
• Ability to manage integrated AWS cloud and physical office infrastructure.
• Ability to work up to 4 days per week in New York City, St. Louis, or Pittsburgh offices and work in the Eastern Time Zone.
