Field Network Engineer (Cisco)

Location: South East England, including London and surrounding areas; residence within the advertised region and a full UK driving licence are essential. The role combines field-based customer visits with remote technical support and includes on-call work for up to one week in three.

What you will do

• Install and support network devices, PCs, and servers at customer sites and remotely.
• Troubleshoot networking, PC, server, and hardware issues and return systems to service.
• Pre-stage routers and switches according to technical documentation.
• Support customer additions, moves, changes, rollouts, and project-based installations.
• Conduct site surveys, prepare documentation, and provide post-sales support.
• Visit sites to assess and replace non-functional equipment.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence and residence in the advertised South East region are required.
• Experience with Cisco, Draytek, Zyxel, or Netgear routers.
• Experience with Cisco, Aruba, and HP switches.
• First- or second-line server and PC hardware break-fix support experience.
• Experience delivering network and PC/server field engineering services to high-profile customers.
• Strong communication, customer service, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
