Category Manager (Alcohol & Wine)

What you will do

• Own sales, margin, profitability, and overall commercial performance across the Alcohol & Wine categories.
• Shape the assortment across mainstream, premium, niche, private-label, and seasonal products.
• Lead supplier negotiations, annual reviews, Joint Business Planning, and commercial partnerships.
• Optimize pricing, promotions, product mix, and product life-cycle management.
• Evaluate and launch new products, seasonal activations, and brand expansions.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and internal data while coordinating with Marketing and Supply Chain on campaigns and availability.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in Category Management, Buying, or Commercial Purchasing in the Alcohol & Wine market.
• Proven experience managing supplier relationships and negotiating with FMCG or beverage suppliers.
• Strong understanding of margin optimization, pricing, promotional strategy, and product life-cycle management.
• Analytical ability to turn category and sales data into commercial actions.
• Advanced English and fluent Hungarian are required.
• Confidence in stakeholder management and communication with internal teams and external partners.

Nice to have

• An established network in the local and international Alcohol & Wine supplier community.
• Knowledge of premium spirits, craft beers, private-label products, and mainstream wines.
• Experience in e-commerce or fast-paced retail environments.
