Software Engineer (AI & Automation)

Salary: $127,000–$207,000 annual base pay, plus equity

What you will do

• Design and build AI-enabled workflows and multi-agent systems for security design reviews, threat modeling, policy questions, vulnerability analysis, and related security processes.
• Build RAG and semantic search experiences across large code and documentation repositories.
• Create automated code-review capabilities that identify insecure patterns and improve software quality earlier in the development lifecycle.
• Develop production Python services, APIs, pipelines, and integrations with GitHub, Slack, Jira, Confluence, LLM providers, and internal services.
• Improve AI system quality through evaluation frameworks, experiment management, prompt and context management, observability, and evidence-based iteration.
• Own software and AI initiatives from problem definition through production and ongoing operation while communicating technical tradeoffs to engineering, security, and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production software.
• Strong Python proficiency with production backend services and APIs.
• Experience with maintainable backend architecture, validation, authentication, authorization, error handling, testing, and observability.
• Experience designing distributed or cloud-based systems with practical attention to scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Hands-on experience building production AI-enabled applications or automations using LLM APIs, agents, tool use, RAG, retrieval, or comparable architectures.
• Interest in secure software development, strong communication skills, and willingness to deepen application and AI security expertise.
