Sr. Software Engineer, Automation Engineering (AI)

Location: Fully remote from a non-hirify.global worksite, most commonly an employee's residence; US-based role associated with New York, New York

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 yearly, bonus eligible

What you will do

• Design and build AI agents and automation workflows using Snowflake Cortex, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar technologies.
• Develop reusable Python tools, APIs, libraries, and production services for data collaboration workflows.
• Build evaluation harnesses, regression tests, monitoring, guardrails, and validation for AI-agent reliability.
• Productize audience onboarding, activation, campaign delivery analysis, measurement, attribution, and incrementality workflows.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, and data platform teams to deliver scalable technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical design discussions, and operational best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of production software engineering experience with Python, including testing, CI/CD, libraries, services, and code reviews.
• Hands-on experience with LLM applications, RAG, vector databases, prompt engineering, LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar tools.
• Experience designing AI-enabled workflows, reasoning agents, tool-using agents, or complex automation systems.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.
• Strong understanding of observability, reliability, scalability, performance tuning, and operational support.

Nice to have

• Experience with data clean rooms, Snowflake Clean Rooms, Databricks Clean Rooms, LiveRamp, Habu, or similar platforms.
• Advertising technology or measurement experience, including audience activation, attribution, incrementality, or reporting.
• Snowflake SnowPro Core, Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate, or similar certification.
