Customer Program Manager (Automotive)

Location: Tokyo, Japan / Shanghai, China; hybrid work with two office days per week

What you will do

• Manage post-sales activities and customer program delivery for automotive and enterprise clients.
• Develop project plans and deliver programs within budget and quality standards.
• Coordinate engineering, product, account management, and other internal teams to meet customer requirements.
• Build customer relationships, support escalations, and represent customer needs within product units.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings and document key communications, schedules, and operational activities.
• Lead risk mitigation, stakeholder alignment, and successful program delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in project management and product lifecycle management for complex projects.
• Extensive experience with the software development lifecycle and knowledge of automotive and enterprise industry trends.
• Mastery of English and Japanese is required.
• Strong communication, influencing, presentation, commercial, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and willingness to travel internationally as required.
