Executive Director, Japan Project Delivery Lead, Intelligent Cockpit (Automotive)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; office-based in Japan and customer offices as required

What you will do

• Lead the Japan Delivery team for Intelligent Cockpit, including hardware program management, software program management, and systems engineering.
• Own regional program delivery and performance across scope, schedule, budget, cost, quality, revenue, and profitability targets.
• Hold primary P&L accountability for the Intelligent Cockpit business in Japan and support sales strategies, quotations, resources, and budgets.
• Develop execution plans, product delivery strategies, development roadmaps, and technical concepts for Japanese OEM customers.
• Coordinate with senior OEM stakeholders, Customer Account Management, Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Procurement, and global technology organizations.
• Build organizational capability through staffing, succession planning, employee engagement, resource planning, and change management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or science, information technology, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of overall experience, including 10+ years leading multinational teams and 5+ years owning primary P&L responsibility.
• Experience in multidisciplinary general management across engineering, finance, program management, sales, procurement, and related functions.
• Experience leading engineering teams in a global development environment and developing complex systems from architecture through implementation.
• Automotive project development experience, with knowledge of product lifecycle management, project management, and change management.
• Willingness to work in an office in Japan and customer offices as required, with up to 30% domestic and international travel.

• Master of Engineering or MBA.
• PMP or similar project management certification.
