Management Accountant (Automotive)

Location: Sydney, Australia; hybrid work with 2 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Prepare and post month-end journals and support month-end close activities.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations, investigate reconciling items, and prepare financial workpapers.
• Prepare commission calculations, management reports, variance analysis, and ad hoc financial insights.
• Maintain financial models and load and validate data in reporting, forecasting, and planning systems.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, statutory reporting, and internal and external audits.
• Improve financial processes, controls, reporting efficiency, and data accuracy while collaborating with business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CA or CPA qualified, or working toward completion.
• 5+ years of experience in management accounting, commercial analysis, or financial accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, month-end processes, journals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills, analytical and problem-solving capability, and experience with ERP, reporting, and planning systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, stakeholder management, and ability to manage competing deadlines independently.
