Director & Associate General Counsel, Litigation and Compliance

Location: Bellevue, Washington, United States; hybrid work environment

Base salary: $188,000–$250,000 per year for new hires; full range $188,000–$339,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead litigation, pre-litigation counseling, case strategy, and coordination with outside counsel.
• Represent the organization before regulatory authorities and develop risk-mitigation policies and processes across global operations.
• Oversee corporate compliance programs, regulatory compliance, internal policies, and training initiatives.
• Lead intellectual property enforcement, including anti-counterfeiting, trademark and copyright protection, and domain name disputes.
• Advise on employment law, employee relations, investigations, workforce management, and U.S. and international employment regulations.
• Lead and develop the Legal Department, manage reporting teams and budgets, and advise business leaders on high-profile legal and reputational risks.

Requirements

• 12+ years of post-qualification legal experience and at least 2 years of people management experience.
• Significant experience leading complex litigation, IP enforcement, compliance, or labor and employment matters.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school or equivalent qualification.
• Bar license in good standing in Washington state or another jurisdiction; candidates not admitted in Washington must be qualified to seek admission and register with the Washington State Bar upon hire.
• Strategic and commercial judgment with strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving environment.
