IT Systems Engineer II or III (Compute)

Annual salary: Level II $101,900–$121,400 USD; Level III $131,000–$153,700 USD

What you will do

• Design, deploy, support, and maintain on-premises and cloud compute infrastructure.
• Manage VMware, Nutanix, Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, virtual machines, storage, backup appliances, and server systems.
• Monitor infrastructure availability, troubleshoot issues, remediate incidents, and recommend improvements.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery capabilities for critical business systems.
• Support monitoring, alerting, automation, documentation, training, and cross-team IT initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, DFARS, ITAR, and related regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Level II: 2–4+ years of systems engineering experience; Level III: 4–7+ years in a medium- to high-volume environment.
• Experience managing Nutanix and VMware hypervisors, backup appliances, storage arrays, and server blade systems.
• Experience deploying and automating virtual machines on-premises and in cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge of compute technologies, hypervisors, networking, storage, backups, and infrastructure best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in a computer-oriented technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Only US persons may be considered where access to controlled data or information is required under ITAR.
