Systems Engineer – Hybrid Cloud & Storage

Location: On-site work or operational support at a designated U.S. facility in Richmond, VA; Columbus, OH; Dayton, OH; Ogden, UT; or Tracy, CA.

What you will do

• Provision, configure, operate, and maintain enterprise systems hardware, software, storage, backup, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor, test, document, and improve disaster recovery, data restore, failover, and business continuity capabilities across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Design, integrate, and administer enterprise storage arrays, Fibre Channel switches, SAN components, NAS technologies, and storage fabrics.
• Maintain backup and recovery platforms, perform capacity forecasting and health checks, and tune storage performance.
• Troubleshoot complex storage, connectivity, and systems issues across on-premises and public cloud platforms.
• Author technical specifications, operational procedures, architecture documentation, reports, and modernization recommendations for technical and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• Active U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required, with IT-I / Critical-Sensitive determination and Tier 5 SSBI investigation.
• U.S. work authorization is required, and the position requires obtaining and maintaining a DoD security clearance.
• DoD-approved 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP.
• At least one required computing environment certification, including AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, NetApp Hybrid Cloud certifications, or Cohesity Protection certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of experience; five or more years of systems engineering experience, including enterprise storage and backup platforms.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure hybrid storage, SAN management, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, FCoE, storage controllers, LUNs, RAID, backup and restore tools, and DoD or military IT systems.
