Director - AI

Location: Hybrid role based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, or Adelaide, Australia; occasional interstate business travel required.

What you will do

• Lead AI strategy and transformation engagements, aligning initiatives with business objectives and organisational priorities.
• Advise senior leaders on AI operating models, governance, responsible AI, workflow redesign, adoption, privacy, risk, and regulatory considerations.
• Shape and prioritise AI use cases, business cases, value frameworks, and investment decisions based on value, feasibility, and risk.
• Define AI-ready foundations across data, architecture, technology, integration, and governance.
• Lead workshops, executive briefings, and board-level presentations while overseeing delivery quality, resourcing, commercial management, risk, and client satisfaction.
• Build executive client relationships, generate follow-on work, develop consulting teams, and contribute to AI methodologies and practice growth.

Requirements

• 10+ years of consulting, transformation, or related experience in complex organisational environments.
• Experience leading large-scale or multiple concurrent consulting engagements, including delivery, quality, commercial management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong background in strategy, digital, business, or organisational transformation.
• Experience advising C-suite executives and boards, influencing decisions, and developing measurable transformation outcomes.
• Practical knowledge of generative AI, copilots, agents, automation technologies, and business applications of AI.
• Strong leadership, communication, facilitation, client relationship, and people development skills.

Nice to have

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in government, defence, education, health, financial services, utilities, or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with AI, cloud, automation, and modern data platforms, including Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Certifications in AI, cloud, architecture, project delivery, or change management.
