BIM Coordinator (Aviation)

What you will do

• Coordinate multidisciplinary 3D models for airport systems, including baggage handling, passenger boarding bridges, security screening, IT, and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Run Navisworks Manage clash-detection audits across airside structures, civil grading, and terminal MEP systems.
• Manage COBie asset data and LOD 400/500 requirements for handover to airport asset-management and CMMS systems.
• Develop 4D construction sequencing with project schedulers while accounting for live flight-line operations, security areas, and passenger flows.
• Enforce airport authority BIM standards, federal aviation design guidelines, and local metadata requirements.
• Oversee terrestrial laser-scan and point-cloud validation of field-installed conditions against the master model.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, civil or structural engineering, construction management, or an equivalent technical field.
• At least three years of professional experience, including two years focused on major airports, aviation hubs, or large-scale multimodal transit projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM 360 and structured permissions and folder environments.
• Autodesk Certified Professional certification in Revit or Navisworks, plus experience with GIS integration such as Esri ArcGIS.
• Knowledge of Dynamo or Python, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass background screening for airport security credentials such as a SIDA badge.
