Senior Android Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $160,000–$200,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain the core Android application.
• Build and scale platform-level architecture and infrastructure.
• Contribute to product design decisions and overall product direction.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior Android engineers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of mobile app development experience, including 2 or more years shipping production Android applications professionally.
• At least 3 years of experience in a startup environment.
• Strong Kotlin expertise with Jetpack Compose and MVVM or Clean Architecture.
• Experience with protobufs, REST, gRPC, Firebase Authentication, Firestore or Realtime Database, and Cloud Messaging.
• Experience with unit, instrumentation, and UI testing, as well as CI/CD pipelines for mobile development.
• Background in consumer-facing mobile applications, mentorship or technical leadership, strong university-level CS or engineering training, and effective cross-functional communication.
