Sr. Data Scientist - Process Modeling (Biotech)

What you will do

• Develop and expand digital process-modeling applications for the drug-substance network.
• Build data products, pipelines, modeling assets, and visualizations supporting drug-substance development, technology transfer, manufacturing, and lifecycle management.
• Enable AI agentic workflows and integrate AI solutions into process-development business processes.
• Own digital products and lead change management for technology-transfer applications.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and digital product teams to improve processes and technology-transfer timelines.
• Prepare cost-benefit analyses, forecasts, scenario analyses, and performance-improvement recommendations for stakeholders.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree, or a master's degree with 2 years of data science or engineering experience, or equivalent experience based on the listed education pathways.
• Experience applying data science in an engineering or scientific environment.
• Experience with chemical-engineering modeling, drug substance, technology transfer, or biotechnology processes.
• Experience with process modeling for cell-culture, harvest, and purification scale-up.
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, self-direction, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with Python, SQL, Databricks, AI tools, React, or BI tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, or Power BI.

Nice to have

• MS degree or doctorate in an engineering or scientific field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a biotechnology role.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience developing AI applications for process-development workflows.
