Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico; onsite full-time. Requires changing shifts on a 4x3 schedule.

What you will do

• Lead Global Manufacturing Systems processes and support launch and pilot activities in assigned manufacturing areas.
• Maintain production quality, cost, schedule, productivity, ergonomics, health, safety, and housekeeping objectives.
• Communicate quality goals, resolve quality issues, and implement systems that prevent recurrence.
• Apply lean manufacturing and synchronous principles to reduce variation, control costs, and improve productivity.
• Train, develop, coach, and mentor hourly team members and Group Leaders using standardized methods and job instruction training.
• Build effective working relationships with employees, union representatives, and management while applying relevant labor agreements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
• Knowledge of metalworking industry processes.
• Advanced English proficiency required.
• Experience or knowledge with Power BI and Power Apps.
• Ability to work onsite full-time and change shifts on a 4x3 schedule.
• Knowledge of GM’s Global Manufacturing System is preferred.
