Senior Cloud Engineer

Location: Lincolnshire, Illinois, United States

Salary: $96,800–$145,200 annual base pay, plus a target annual cash incentive of 10% of base pay.

What you will do

• Build and improve automation and scripting for cloud deployments, configuration, and routine operational work.
• Operate secure cloud environments using least-privilege access, zero-trust practices, vulnerability management, and appropriate access controls.
• Monitor cloud spending and implement FinOps practices for cost optimization and accurate cost visibility.
• Provide advanced technical support for cloud-based computer and data center environments, including troubleshooting and occasional L3 customer escalations.
• Develop and support infrastructure and Infrastructure-as-a-Service solutions across IT and product engineering teams.
• Monitor system performance and utilization while maintaining documentation, data integrity, and file system security.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience; candidates with 3+ years may be considered with 3 years of relevant Zebra experience, including ITDP participation.
• Experience with Python and Jenkins, plus Terraform or similar tools for automation and CI/CD support.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Experience with cloud security, automation, troubleshooting, infrastructure systems, and technical documentation.
• Ability to work autonomously, collaborate with IT and product teams, and support a dynamic environment.

• Experience developing new systems and tools and implementing process improvements.
• Project management, advanced analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Experience supporting both IT and product engineering teams.
