VP/Senior Investment Associate - Infrastructure Debt

Location: Chicago, Illinois, USA

Salary: USD 150,000–200,000 yearly, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Originate, underwrite, execute, and manage infrastructure debt investment opportunities for clients.
• Evaluate potential investments based on credit, value, duration, structure, and portfolio fit.
• Conduct fundamental investment, credit, and legal due diligence and prepare investment committee materials.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers, ratings specialists, legal partners, and other internal stakeholders.
• Monitor existing investments, financial and compliance reporting, risk views, waivers, and approvals.
• Support fundraising, borrower solutions, counterparty relationships, and broader investment strategy development.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of experience in buy-side debt private placements, infrastructure debt, a bank credit program, or an infrastructure sponsor environment.
• Experience reviewing transactions across multiple infrastructure sectors and identifying suitable investment opportunities.
• Expertise in investment diligence, credit-risk identification, rating agency methodologies, legal documentation, and financial model analysis.
• Ability to structure bilateral transactions and assess structure, credit, and relative value.
• Strong organization, communication, analytical, self-management, and relationship-management skills.
