Senior .NET Engineer (AWS)

Location: Remote in the United States

Salary: $170,000–$220,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Architect and maintain high-performance, secure, distributed applications and scalable microservices.
• Develop backend services and cloud APIs with C#/.NET and TypeScript, plus responsive React front-end applications.
• Implement microservices using AWS services including DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, Lambda, and API Gateway.
• Create automated unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end tests across service and UI layers.
• Build and maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines and diagnose production issues involving service communication and infrastructure bottlenecks.
• Improve observability with OpenTelemetry or equivalent tooling and contribute to SLO definition and MTTR reduction.

Requirements

• Strong backend development experience with C#/.NET and front-end development experience with TypeScript and React.
• Experience operating software in on-premises or customer-hosted environments and cloud-native multi-tenant environments.
• Production experience with AWS DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, or equivalent cloud services.
• Knowledge of microservices patterns, cloud-native architecture, automated testing, Git, and GitHub Actions.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for distributed production systems and familiarity with structured logging, distributed tracing, metrics-based alerting, and OpenTelemetry.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and AWS infrastructure defined through CloudFormation or AWS CDK.
• Experience with performance tuning and scalable solution design.
• Experience with scientific instrument software or Chromatography Data Systems and instrument integration patterns.
