TL;DR
Research Manager, VECTOR Study (AI/Genomics): Coordinating multi-site research projects involving health, clinical, imaging, laboratory, genomic data, and precision cardiovascular medicine with an accent on project delivery, data access, ethics, grant development, and knowledge translation. Focus on coordinating the VECTOR study, managing research databases and REDCap data, supporting statistical analysis, and overseeing budgets and stakeholder communications.

Location: hirify.global Hospital Site, Vancouver, BC, Canada

Salary: $7,158.42–$10,292.25 CAD per month

What you will do

  • Coordinate the VECTOR study, including activities, timelines, milestones, deliverables, documentation, reporting, and knowledge translation.
  • Oversee multi-site research projects from proposal development through completion and facilitate meetings with investigators, research staff, collaborators, and external partners.
  • Coordinate access and transfer of clinical, imaging, laboratory, health, and genomic data with hirify.global ARC, HDPBC, and regional health authorities.
  • Prepare grant applications, research proposals, scientific reports, presentations, plain-language summaries, and other project communications.
  • Manage research databases, registries, REDCap tools, data collection, privacy, integrity, and collaboration with biostatisticians.
  • Support grant budgets, expenditure monitoring, forecasting, budget justifications, and variance analysis.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and at least three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in research management or project coordination, including grant applications, scholarly writing, and data analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, time-management, problem-solving, collaboration, and independent decision-making skills.
  • Experience with research ethics and regulatory requirements, including preparing and managing Research Ethics Board applications, amendments, and renewals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, database systems such as REDCap or EDC, and data management or statistical software.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and respect for diverse perspectives.

Nice to have

  • Experience with national or multi-site research projects, provincial health data, genomics, artificial intelligence, or precision health.
  • Experience working with Indigenous or equity-deserving communities and knowledge of Indigenous-specific anti-racism and cultural safety.
  • Experience supervising staff or trainees.
  • Familiarity with specimen collection, handling, and storage in clinical research.
