Infrastructure Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, Austin, Berlin, London, New York City, Seattle, Toronto, or Remote (United States).

Compensation: $220,000 – $405,000 + Equity.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate distributed infrastructure supporting consumer, AI, and enterprise workloads.
• Own cross-cutting infrastructure problems spanning compute, storage, networking, and data deployment.
• Identify gaps in existing platforms and build shared abstractions, automation, and tooling.
• Improve system performance, availability, scalability, and cost-efficiency for request traffic.
• Debug complex production issues across service boundaries and implement durable architectural improvements.
• Set technical direction and lead high-impact infrastructure programs through cross-team collaboration.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend, platform, or distributed systems.
• Proven track record of owning complex production systems end-to-end.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python, Go, Rust, C++, or Java.
• Experience across at least two infrastructure domains (e.g., cloud, Kubernetes, storage, networking).
• Ability to develop depth quickly in unfamiliar systems and reason across software and infrastructure layers.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and set technical standards.
