What you will do

• Lead and develop a cross-functional department of approximately 20 employees, both functionally and disciplinarily.
• Plan and steer the development of Fighter Radar test equipment in line with contractual requirements and regulations.
• Conceptualize new test-means development projects and prepare effort estimates for technical tenders.
• Evaluate make-or-buy decisions and manage subcontractors based on cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
• Drive agile workflows, process optimization, performance metrics, design reviews, and technical risk mitigation.
• Own resource, budget, and investment planning while ensuring compliance, stakeholder representation, and regular reporting.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
• Several years of functional or disciplinary leadership experience with interdisciplinary teams.
• Extensive practical experience in systems engineering and the technical development of complex, multi-layered products.
• Sound experience in system integration and testing.
• Strong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Fluent German and English, written and spoken, are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Fighter Radar and Eurofighter systems.
• Experience in project management and certifications related to system testing.
