Senior Engineer (Avionics & MTP)

Location: Bremen, Germany; hybrid arrangement balancing remote and on-site work

What you will do

• Act as a key technical expert with overall responsibility in large, complex avionics and MTP projects.
• Represent the discipline and provide expert guidance on complex technical challenges and demanding project situations.
• Anticipate, analyze, and resolve non-conformances, technical failures, and unforeseen issues throughout development projects.
• Lead technical contributions to research, development, technology projects, bids, cost estimates, and early concept studies.
• Assess trade-off studies and optimize processes, workflows, software, tools, and future technology focus areas.
• Transfer knowledge through mentoring, training, coaching, and support of internal and subcontractor meetings.

Requirements

• University degree in a relevant discipline or comparable qualification.
• Many years of professional experience with deep technical understanding across the department and experience throughout all phases of satellite projects.
• Strong knowledge of relevant standards, processes, and methodologies.
• Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Experience as a recognized technical leader, mentor, and trainer with an innovative, strategic, entrepreneurial, and results-driven mindset.
• Strong cost awareness, risk mitigation capabilities, and knowledge of customers, suppliers, competitors, and emerging technologies.
