Director, Technical Program Management (Cybersecurity)

Location: San Jose, California, USA; hybrid three days a week

Salary: $199,500–$285,000 USD base pay per year, excluding bonus, equity, commission, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead complex, cross-functional technical programs aligned with strategic goals and R&D objectives.
• Drive customer retention initiatives by tracking support tickets, deployment progress, telemetry, and customer health metrics.
• Establish timelines, dependencies, workflows, and operating rhythms for shared platform engineering.
• Design and refine program management frameworks, processes, and tools for efficiency and scalability.
• Communicate program status and risks to executive leadership while coordinating cross-functional dependencies.
• Operationalize transformational change management plans across product and platform engineering.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in technical program management or a related technical field, including leadership of large-scale initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience applying Agile or Scrum methodologies and influencing organizational strategy and executive leadership.
• Deep understanding of API platforms and application frameworks such as Java and Spring, including Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Demonstrated curiosity and practical use of AI tools to improve workflows and problem-solving.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in San Jose, California, with three office days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience in a high-growth SaaS or cybersecurity organization.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or other public cloud platforms.
• Advanced process improvement knowledge, such as Six Sigma.
• PMP, SAFe, or Scrum Master certification.
