Control Systems Engineering Specialist (Embedded Systems)

Location: Clayton, North Carolina, United States; onsite five days a week. Relocation assistance may be available. Visa sponsorship is not available. Travel is 10%.

Salary: $128,470–$192,710 per year.

What you will do

• Design and develop Tech Platform 1.0 electronic systems for Telehandler applications.
• Coordinate integration between electronic control modules, sensors, displays, and third-party components.
• Define, document, and manage system, feature, and regulatory requirements.
• Configure test-bench hardware and software and execute verification and validation plans on benches and machines.
• Troubleshoot software and system defects and support product releases through issue resolution and production implementation.
• Lead cross-functional electronics integration, safety feature development, technical risk mitigation, and production delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Solid experience in software development, embedded controls, machine systems, or related engineering disciplines.
• Experience with technical leadership, project coordination, analytical problem-solving, and communicating complex technical information.
• Knowledge of embedded systems, requirements analysis, and product development in manufacturing.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and electronic control systems and working with machine, engine, or embedded control system development.
• Availability to work onsite five days a week in Clayton, North Carolina, with no visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Git, MATLAB/Simulink, C, CANape, CANalyzer, Cat ET Service Tool, Ethernet-based communication systems, CAN, and SAE J1939.
• Knowledge of hirify.global diagnostic and event systems, service tools, SuperCom II, and Vector-based development tools.
• Experience with safety-critical systems, functional safety concepts, and cross-functional NPI activities.
