Engineering Manager, International (Fintech)

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada; in-person attendance required 5 days per week

Salary: $200,000–$235,000 CAD base pay, plus bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Lead and support a team of software developers through goal-setting, feedback, coaching, and structured growth plans.
• Define technical direction and prioritize international product and platform work with product managers and partner teams.
• Drive architecture and execution for crypto and other financial product launches in new regions.
• Ensure backend services and localized products provide high availability, performance, security, and scalability.
• Manage hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and career development for engineers.
• Coordinate with product, design, compliance, marketing, and engineering partners to deliver initiatives on schedule.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years managing engineering teams.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to ship complex products from concept through launch and post-deployment improvement.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems focused on reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Experience delivering complex technical projects from planning through deployment.
• Clear communication with technical and business partners about technical decisions and trade-offs.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing engineers.
