Senior Solutions Architect - Public Sector (Defense Industrial Base)

Location: Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, D.C.; travel to customers in the region is required.

Salary: $219,100–$301,300 USD annually, with potential performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with sales teams to identify customer use cases and explain how the unified analytics platform addresses business problems.
• Provide technical leadership as customers evaluate, adopt, and implement the platform.
• Design big data architectures and implement proofs of concept for strategic projects.
• Develop data science and machine learning solutions and validate integrations with cloud services and third-party applications.
• Build and present reference architectures, technical guides, and demo applications.
• Promote open-source projects including Apache Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Koalas through developer events and technical presentations.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required due to contractual requirements supporting U.S. Public Sector customers.
• 8+ years of experience in customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting roles.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Programming and debugging experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience supporting Public Sector clients and building solutions with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of data engineering technologies and data warehousing, including Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, SQL, OLTP, OLAP, or DSS.

Nice to have

• Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Operations Research.
