What you will do

• Design, conduct, and lead in vivo preclinical inflammation and autoimmune disease model studies.
• Execute ex vivo analyses and cutting-edge pharmacology experiments supporting the inflammation research pipeline.
• Use animal models and in vivo pharmacology to validate and advance molecules through research programs.
• Analyze and communicate pharmacology and preclinical data to therapeutic-area scientists and project teams.
• Oversee study data quality and analysis, represent pharmacology on pipeline teams, and present results internally and externally.
• Manage up to one scientist or associate scientist direct report.

Requirements

• Doctorate in immunology, biology, pharmacology, or a related discipline; alternatively, a relevant master's degree with 2 years of biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience, or a bachelor's degree with 4 years of such experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with rodent handling and in vivo techniques, including intravenous, intraperitoneal, oral, intradermal, subcutaneous, and intrathecal dosing, bleeds, and necropsy.
• Significant experience designing and executing concurrent in vivo preclinical inflammation or autoimmune disease models, with knowledge of PK-PD relationships.
• Hands-on experience with ELISA, MSD, Western blot, quantitative RT-PCR, tissue protein extraction, and multicolor or spectral flow cytometry.
• Experience collaborating on project teams, leading in vivo contributions, analyzing data, and maintaining accurate records.
• Proficiency with GraphPad Prism, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Nice to have

• Postdoctoral or industry experience.
• Experience with colitis, lupus, arthritis, hepatitis, immune modulation, dermatology, rheumatoid, or respiratory disease models.
• Experience managing an in vivo pharmacology team or direct reports.
• Publication record or significant contribution to a therapeutic program.
