Buyer III (Supply Chain)

What you will do

• Execute and optimize standard purchasing and procure-to-pay processes.
• Support supplier demand forecasting, capacity planning, replenishment, inventory management, and procurement transactions.
• Manage supplier on-time delivery, purchase order data integrity, expedites, non-conforming material returns, and invoice resolution.
• Identify preferred suppliers and recommend cost-saving opportunities, including make-versus-buy analysis, alternative sourcing, volume pricing, and vendor evaluation.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels using plan for every part (PFEP) and coordinate engineering change orders with suppliers and internal teams.
• Act as the SAP super user for the functional area and resolve issues that may delay material deliveries.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or five years of related supply chain experience in a similar environment.
• At least three years of purchasing, planning, or related experience in manufacturing.
• Experience managing shifting deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and strong analytical, project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with contract negotiation and supplier-facing communication.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain Management.
• Experience using SAP, Oracle, or another ERP/MRP system.
• APICS or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) certification.
