Paramedic - PRN

Location: Homestead, Florida, United States. Onsite work at a health center, with PRN shifts scheduled as needed Monday–Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; a minimum of one shift every 28 days is required. Occasional 12-, 16-, or 24-hour shifts may be needed.

What you will do

• Assess illnesses and injuries, prioritize medical procedures, and determine when additional assistance is needed.
• Provide emergency-scene treatment, record vital signs, administer medications and injections, and initiate IV fluids.
• Perform cardiac monitoring and communicate with physicians and other medical personnel in person and by radio.
• Support clinic operations when not responding to emergencies.
• Maintain treatment records, prepare reports, and keep current with protocols, techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Inspect and clean the emergency vehicle and restock medical supplies and equipment.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited paramedic training program.
• Current paramedic certification valid in the state where the work is performed.
• Current ACLS certification.
• At least three years of experience as an EMT-P with an ambulance or EMS service.
• New York paramedics may require REMSCO, REMAC, or REMO certifications depending on the city and county; applicable certifications must be obtained within the stated timeframe.
