TL;DR
CAD Detailer (Experiential & Events) (AutoCAD/fabrication): Turning experiential design concepts into fabrication-ready 2D and 3D CAD models, drawings, and manufacturing details with an accent on exhibit construction, materials, tolerances, and installation requirements. Focus on developing buildable solutions for CNC cutting, millwork, metal fabrication, electrical and AV integration, and coordinating technical details across design, project management, fabrication, and installation teams.
Location: Remote in the United States, or Addison, Illinois; Dayton, New Jersey; and North Las Vegas, Nevada

What you will do
- Translate creative exhibit concepts into buildable, cost-effective fabrication solutions.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, plans, elevations, control drawings, assembly drawings, and setup drawings.
- Develop solid models and component details for CNC cutting, fabrication, assembly, transportation, and installation.
- Document materials, finishes, hardware, dimensions, tolerances, part numbers, electrical requirements, and graphic-placement opportunities.
- Coordinate with Designers, Project Management, Fabrication, Service teams, Graphics, and external vendors to resolve technical challenges.
- Apply ADA requirements, building codes, show-floor regulations, and fabrication standards while improving detailing workflows and libraries.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of detailing experience, preferably in exhibits, architectural fabrication, or a related field.
- Strong AutoCAD 2D and 3D skills, with knowledge of drafting, dimensioning, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of millwork, metal fabrication, basic engineering concepts, and production materials.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, communicate effectively, collaborate across disciplines, and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Acrobat.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
Nice to have
- CNC programming experience.
- Experience with exhibit-industry fabrication and installation environments.
