Digital Manufacturing Designer I (Injection Moulding)

What you will do

• Generate injection moulding quotes for tooling, mould modifications, and secondary operations.
• Analyze 3D part geometry and recommend CAD changes to improve manufacturability.
• Design injection moulds, including pre-design checks, core and cavity construction, toolpaths, mould layouts, and quality checks.
• Develop gate and ejector layouts and perform Mouldflow analysis to assess production feasibility.
• Create CNC machine instructions and CMM/CTQ programs based on customer measurements.
• Collaborate with Go-to-Market, Operations, customers, and external suppliers while following quality and safety standards.

Requirements

• Familiarity with 3D CAD software and the ability to learn proprietary graphical computer-aided analysis software.
• Associate degree in CAD, Drafting, Design, or a similar field preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a similar field preferred.
• Proficiency in mathematics and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, multitasking, and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Telford, United Kingdom.
