Senior Accountant (Bond & Specialty Insurance)

Salary: $73,900–$122,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards

What you will do

• Compile, review, and analyze financial data for variance analysis, reporting, and accuracy.
• Develop financial analyses supporting production, profitability, expense management, staffing, budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
• Prepare journal entries, payment requests, reconciliations, and internal management reports.
• Prepare external financial statements under GAAP, SEC, and statutory accounting requirements.
• Perform Sarbanes-Oxley financial controls and prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
• Provide coaching, training, and mentoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a comparable professional qualification such as CPA or CMA.
• At least two years of experience in finance, accounting, financial planning, or a related field.
• Knowledge of accounting theory and practice, with the ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and provide management insights.
• Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, organization, and time-management skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, and financial reporting software such as TM1, Essbase, or Hyperion.
