Production Scheduler 3 (Manufacturing)

Location: St Charles, Illinois; fully onsite. Must be able to commute to the St Charles location. Usual start time is 8 AM, with presence required for the second shift starting at 2 PM; flexible scheduling will be discussed during the second interview.

Salary: $65,000–$78,000 per year

What you will do

• Schedule, sequence, and load manufacturing work for prepress, press, and bindery/finishing equipment.
• Optimize workflows by matching complex customer jobs with suitable equipment capabilities.
• Verify that files, plating, raw materials, components, staffing, and logistics are ready for scheduled production runs.
• Adjust and reschedule daily and weekly production plans when output changes, equipment fails, or materials are unavailable.
• Coordinate with production, planning, management, vendors, and internal resources to keep customer projects on schedule.
• Provide daily production reports and support long-term facility work planning.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of relevant administrative or operational support experience in manufacturing operations or an office environment.
• Excellent knowledge of the relevant functional area and the ability to apply policies, procedures, regulations, and program objectives.
• Advanced knowledge of computers and software, including MS Office or equivalent word-processing and spreadsheet tools.
• Excellent oral and written communication, strong organization, deadline management, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to commute to and work fully onsite in St Charles, Illinois.
• Ability to provide guidance to junior staff and review work for accuracy.
