Co-op, Embedded Software Test Engineering (Medical Devices)

Salary: $25.00–$34.00 annual base salary range

What you will do

• Develop and maintain manual and automated test cases for embedded software.
• Execute functional, regression, performance, stress, and reliability testing.
• Create test plans, test designs, use cases, test reports, and lifecycle documentation.
• Review software requirements, architecture, designs, hazards, and traceability.
• Validate software development tools and contribute to defect tracking, metrics, configuration management, and automation frameworks.
• Participate in product design reviews and Agile/Scrum ceremonies while coordinating with onshore and offshore QA teams.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-based visa sponsorship.
• Hands-on experience with development boards and development software.
• Proficiency in Python, Jenkins, and test automation tools.
• Understanding of software quality assurance principles, testing practices, metrics, SDLC, and test lifecycles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Prior embedded software testing experience combining manual and automated testing.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Git, DevOps practices, embedded systems, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Slack, or Teams.
