Staff Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: US Remote; candidates must be eligible to work in the United States for full-time employment.

Salary: $150,000–$175,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, maintenance, and deployment of scalable software systems and product features.
• Write clean, reusable code and build functional web applications using full-stack technologies.
• Lead code and design reviews, establish development standards, and mentor junior engineers.
• Design and maintain API-first integrations, environment configurations, monitoring, and system health practices.
• Optimize application performance, improve test coverage and development tools, and modernize legacy applications.
• Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot production incidents, and resolve critical disruptions.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of related software development experience, or 6 years with an advanced degree.
• Strong programming experience in Java or C# and proven full-stack development experience.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular, plus HTML and CSS.
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, REST APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases, caching, and OpenTelemetry.
• Experience developing unit, UI automation, and integration tests, monitoring production systems, and optimizing performance.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related field.
• Experience with SaaS products in the technology or financial industries.
• Experience deploying applications on Amazon Web Services with Kubernetes.
• Experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks such as Flutter.
