Senior UI Developer (Java)

Location: Onsite in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States. U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph are required.

Salary: $122,000–$253,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

What you will do

• Design and develop enterprise-grade Java applications using OSGi principles and modular service architectures.
• Build and maintain Apache Karaf applications and manage OSGi bundles.
• Develop software-defined networking controllers, plugins, network management applications, and dynamic configuration services.
• Design RESTful APIs and northbound and southbound interfaces for network programmability and integration.
• Build scalable microservices for distributed network functions and real-time data processing.
• Optimize performance, implement automated testing, participate in design reviews, and troubleshoot complex distributed systems.

Requirements

• STEM degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong OSGi architecture expertise and experience with Apache Karaf or a comparable runtime such as Apache Felix or Eclipse Equinox.
• Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, dependency injection, RESTful services, messaging systems, and event-driven architectures.
• Understanding of software-defined networking, network protocols, multithreading, concurrency, asynchronous programming, Git, and CI/CD automation.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required, and the position is onsite in Maryland.

Nice to have

• Experience with open-source SDN controllers, network virtualization, OpenFlow, NETCONF, RESTCONF, BGP, or OSPF.
• Knowledge of YANG data modeling, network device configuration management, NFV, or VNF technologies.
