Solutions Architect – Data Analytics (Databricks)

Location: Fully remote, based anywhere in the United States

Salary: $5,444.76–$9,537.00 per month, plus bonus or incentive plan eligibility

What you will do

• Define and lead enterprise-wide solution architecture for a Databricks-centered data strategy.
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions supporting analytics, AI, machine learning, and operational reporting.
• Translate business requirements into automated technical solutions across products, systems, data sources, and platforms.
• Lead architecture reviews, integration planning, documentation, standards, and automation quality controls.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers building and consuming architecture solutions.
• Monitor data ecosystem health, identify failure patterns, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in enterprise IT operations, systems engineering, or infrastructure architecture.
• Deep expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code tools including Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Puppet, or Chef.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Strong experience designing Azure-based data solutions, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage/ADLS, networking, identity and access management, and Key Vault.
• Experience designing enterprise data platforms with Databricks or a comparable modern cloud data platform, plus BI and analytics architectures involving Microsoft Fabric or Power BI.
• Knowledge of on-premises infrastructure, Windows and Linux, networking, security infrastructure, DevOps, agile delivery, access-management automation, and cloud cost optimization.

Nice to have

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification or a similar certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and influencing technical and non-technical collaborators.
