Data Architect (Databricks)

Location: Campinas, Brazil; hybrid work with mandatory attendance at the CI&T Campinas office three days per week

What you will do

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of data engineers building, enhancing, and maintaining data products.
• Design data architectures and participate in architecture and technical solution discussions.
• Develop solutions involving data pipelines, data lakes, data meshes, and other data products.
• Collaborate with strategy, customer experience, product, program management, and customer teams.
• Ensure security, performance, stability, and productivity across development environments.
• Participate in data assessments and complex data modernization engagements.

Requirements

• Advanced English and confidence explaining technical solutions in conversation.
• Strong experience in architecture design and technical leadership.
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying data pipelines, data lakes, data meshes, and other data products.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Experience with Databricks and data pipeline orchestration tools such as Microsoft Data Factory or Apache Airflow.
• Ability to work from the Campinas office three days per week in a hybrid setup.

Nice to have

• Databricks Certification and experience with complex data modernization engagements or consultative data assessments.
• Knowledge of data governance, CI/CD, and MLOps pipelines.
• Experience with pre-sales, technical presentations, proof-of-concepts, and complex coding mechanisms.
• Experience scaling data workloads and familiarity with AI engagements or Agentic coding.
