Technical Lead (.NET)

Location: Liverpool City Centre HQ, UK; hybrid with three days in the office per week

Salary: £70,000–£85,000 per year, depending on experience

What you will do

• Lead a cross-functional squad delivering production-ready software for products used by thousands of customers.
• Design and build scalable microservices using .NET and Azure.
• Shape microservice architecture, event-driven integration patterns, clean architecture, and shared engineering standards.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, business analysts, designers, and QA specialists.
• Stay hands-on with code while mentoring developers and supporting technical growth.
• Contribute to developer experience, shared tooling, observability, and wider engineering initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading software delivery in a microservice-based environment.
• Strong technical background in .NET and Azure, with deeper expertise in backend systems.
• Experience working across the stack, including React, Next.js, and TypeScript environments.
• Experience mentoring developers and guiding teams in an agile, collaborative setup.
• Strong communication skills and a product-focused approach to trade-offs between speed, scalability, and user experience.
• At least one year remaining on a Graduate or Post-Study Work visa is required for applicants using this route; visa sponsorship is not available.
