Tools Programmer (AI)

What you will do

• Define the architecture of data ingestion pipelines and administration tools for the internal DocGPT knowledge assistant platform.
• Design error handling, recovery, monitoring, and reliability mechanisms for connectors to internal data sources.
• Lead the development and evolution of the platform's MCP server for integration teams.
• Identify deployment bottlenecks and build automation to support increasing deployment demand.
• Define observability standards covering instrumentation, alerts, and dashboards.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on tooling and software reliability practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of production experience developing tools, data pipelines, or internal platforms.
• Strong Python skills for backend services, REST APIs with FastAPI or Flask, automation scripts, and connectors.
• Experience designing reliable ingestion pipelines with idempotency, error handling, retries, and monitoring.
• Strong proficiency with AWS, including EKS, S3, Lambda, IAM/IRSA, and Secrets Manager; Databricks; Docker; Kubernetes; and Helm.
• Experience with GitOps tools such as Flux or Argo CD, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools including OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Technical leadership, strong communication skills, and comfort working with ambiguity and diverse client teams.
