2027 Jax R&D Internship (STEM, Eng/Chem) (MedTech)

Location: Jacksonville, Florida, United States of America; relocation to the Jacksonville area is required for the summer internship

What you will do

• Execute a project involving an eye-health product, enabling technology, or internal R&D operations.
• Conduct fundamental research, product and process characterization, and development activities.
• Support clinical study execution, regulatory submissions, test-method development, and equipment development.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and other technical disciplines on equipment and process applications.
• Advocate for continuous improvement and review project progress and results across functional groups.

Requirements

• Be currently enrolled in a four-year degree program in engineering, materials science, chemistry, biochemistry, biology, health science, or an equivalent field.
• Be available to relocate to the Jacksonville area for the summer internship.
• Be permanently authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship.
• Remain enrolled throughout the internship and work full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Nice to have

• Relevant internship, research assistant, or coursework experience.
• Prior work experience.
