Automotive Lead Technician

Location: Greece, United States; onsite automotive retail service position.

Salary: $25.31–$52.22 per hour under a performance-based flat-rate compensation model.

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air-conditioning, computer, and other automotive systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to customers without mechanical backgrounds.
• Assist with and train technicians and mechanics on technical activities.
• Maintain current automotive knowledge through paid formal training.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least five A1–A8 areas within the first two years.

Requirements

• Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing brakes, alignment, steering, suspension, general automotive systems, and tires.
• Current applicable federal, state, and local certifications or licenses.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical customers.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.
• Employment eligibility verification through Form I-9 is required; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify applicants.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, engine repair and performance, transmissions, drivetrains, and automotive heating and air conditioning.
• Five years of automotive repair experience, demonstrated skills through third-party assessments or certifications, or completion of a vocational-technical program.
• ASE certification in at least three A1–A8 areas, preferably brakes and steering and suspension.
