Automotive Lead Technician

Location: 974540 Airpark; on-site automotive service work in the United States. Employment requires completion of Form I-9, and temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify candidates.

Pay range: $24.10–$48.18 per hour through a performance-based flat-rate compensation model.

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel, ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air-conditioning, and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to customers without mechanical backgrounds.
• Lead, assist, and train technicians and mechanics on technical work.
• Stay current with automotive technology through paid formal training.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least five A1–A8 areas during the first two years; testing and registration fees are covered.

Requirements

• Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing brakes, alignment, steering, suspension, general automotive systems, and tires.
• Current federal, state, and local certifications or licenses where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people, with reading, writing, and math skills.
• Employment eligibility must be verified through Form I-9.

Nice to have

• Five years of automotive repair experience, demonstrated skills through assessments or certifications, or completion of a vocational-technical program.
• ASE certification in at least three A1–A8 areas, preferably brakes and steering and suspension.
• Experience with electrical and electronic systems, engine repair and performance, transmissions, drivetrains, or automotive heating and air conditioning.
